How to install cracked apps onto iphone 3Gs?

A friend of mine has given his iphone to look after for a bit.
It is jailbroken with blackra1n and has cydia installed onto it.
How do i put cracked apps on the iphone? I have his laptop too, and therefore his itunes.
I tried dragging the app manually but it didn't work. What do i do?
