does the iphone break easily?

im thinking about getting an iphone but i dont know if its good quality.
does it break easily and is it worth the money? and if i do get one should i get the 3G or the 8G?
haha ok i feel kinda stupid about the 3G thing but anyway do you think i should get the 8G or the 16G?
