Why doesn't my iTouch's touch screen work when I have it plugged in?

So basically whenever I plug my iTouch (5th generation) in, the touch screen refuses to work properly. When I tap an area it'll either respond to a different spot on the screen, or nothing happens so I have to tap again. Scrolling is difficult too, it's like it doesn't want to move.

The touch screen works fine when it's unplugged though. This problem only started recently, I remember a while back I used to use my iTouch's while it was plugged in no problem. Why is it suddenly no working well now? Help?

My suggestion is, get it to the service center and have it checked. You still have the warranty, right?
