Why are refs so hostile toward the introduction of technology that coud assist
them with difficult decisions? surely they should embrace such measures, and see it as a good thing in our game, rather than it being seen as a threat to their stature.

Because they will loose out on the thousands of pounds the scousers pay them each year.
