We're both 18 and he's 19ish, and they've been together for a year now. She talks about him most of the time, though she tries not to because it's annoying. She has introduced him to her family and she's mentioned introducing him to me and one of my other friends but she never makes time for it.

She's told me he has introduced her to his friends but for some reason not me. She is my closest friend, although lately we've grown apart a bit because of our first year of university.

Is she embarrassed of me? Would I be too boring? Is she afraid her boyfriend thinks that because she's closest to me that she has no other friends?

I'm not desperate to meet him, but I'm starting to think she's embarrassed by me (I'm a girl btw).

Sometimes she acts like she doesn't see me. I've told my mother about this and she's said I'm too sensitive. But I think I know it when I see it. I feel it too, like when I'm around her now it's so awkward.

I have no other close friends. I'm really lonely and this is making me feel worse.

maybe she is embarrassed by him. Meeting your best friend is some times more crucial than the parents. Your bf knows your secrets, the embarrassing things, the gushy stuff they say about them. or Maybe she thinks you won't get along and she just doesn't want the two of you fighting or telling her about how much you both disapprove of the other. If she was embarrassed by you she wouldn't go out into public with you. Or maybe its one of your x's and you already know him.
