Can I introduce my goldfish into a tank with algae?

It is only one goldfish but I do not want it to keep feeding off of algae. Will my fish be okay in this or should I try to clean up this algae? The gravel is not covered in it but I don't want my fish to get overfed.

    Any input is appreciated.

algae is great for the tank, great for the water quality and fine for the fish. Overfeeding doesn't happen from algae. any algae blocking your view can be wiped off, but if you don't mind the algae then leave it. The tank is way better with it. Most people overfeed and overclean their tank. Never do too much at once. Small cleaning more often is better and easier than big cleanings less often.
