A little advice on meeting my husband’s daughter for the 1st time?
I’m kind of jumping the gun but . . . my husband just got back in touch with his daughter. They haven’t seen each other since I met him over 2 yrs ago. Bad situation with the ex. Anyway, now he’s communicating with the ex & all seems to be going well. She asked my husband to buy their daughter a car for her 16th birthday. He said yes. They live in the desert & we live at the beach so his daughter wants to come visit (loves the beach) when she gets the car.
My question is . . . what if she hates me? Her mom isn’t thrilled that I’m in the picture. And what should I do when she visits? A gift wouldn’t be appropriate, right? Should I just make sure to have finger foods out? I have animals she can play with.
Should I just let my husband take her to the beach & shopping or should I go too? I’m nervous. WHY am I so nervous? I just want her to like me & to like it here so she can see her dad more.
