I'm recording a telephone greeting for my company which is an LLC. I know that whenever you write your company's name if it's an LLC you have to put LLC after the name - written like "Company, LLC" but do I need to do this on the telephone greeting?

Can I just say - Thank you for calling "Company" or do I need to say Thank you for calling "Company, LLC"

You don't have to say LLC in your telephone greeting - whether it's in person or for your answering machine.

Not necessary unless you just want to. I would say it like this, if you feel the need: "thank you for calling (company name) We are a Limited liability Corporation". Many people don't have a clue as to what L.L.C. stands for.
