Windows XP?? Slow start up and internet??
part 1. okay, i know there are a lot of different programs running in the background of any computer. which ones on XP are needed and which ones are not? they make the comp take like 15 mins + to fully start up. further more, how do i remove them from the start up programs? part 2. and i dont know if it is the modem or what, but when ever we use the internet on it, it says that the page cant be displayed on a lot of websites almost everytime, but when we use the internet from our old comp, it loads pages just fine (well, as good as dial up can provide) even though the newer one with XP should be 2x as good, the older one is faster on the internet. so i guess i need:
1. a list of un-needed start up programs i can tell the comp to stop doing
2. any info on why the internet sucks on the newer comp but is halfway decent on the older comp.
