I'm looking forward to the Sims 3. I have two computers, one that i devote games to. However, this computer doesn't have internet connection so i was wondering if the Sims 3 would still work. I heard that EA has to permit you to use it or something?

I don't think you need the internet as it is a CD Rom game. If you want to download custom content or register your game however, you will need internet.

I've been reading some stuff, seeing as though I have the EXACT same situation as yours, and it seems like internet is not needed. They do, however, say that you can download extra items (this includes furniture, towns, and other things for your Sims), so not having the internet connection will impair that. Other than that small detail, game play should be exactly the same.
