Thread: Why is my Verizon FiOS internet and TV screwed up when I set up parental controls?

I set up parental blocks through my Verizon router, however this has caused some serious problems with my internet and TV services. On the internet, when the blocks are activated, I am incapable of doing things like uploading videos on YouTube or accessing game servers. Also the internet tends to suddenly stop working even with all the lights still up on the router. The TV glitches - when you look through the channels it freezes then resets. When I reset the router to the original settings without blocks, I have no problems. Can anyone explain why this is happening and what I can do? Is it just that setting Parental Controls through the router is the problem? And do I have to go for the advanced parental control options Verizon has? Is that an extra expense?

Hi I have Fios and mine works really well but wat i think wat happening is that ur tv and computer does not work because i have parental controls on my tv and it works fine i think u should call Verizon and have them bring over a guy who works there and fix ur tv and computer i believe the number is 1-888-553-1555.
