go to your service provider and ask for internet connection only! more than likely they will try to give you a package deal for a year (under contract) which will include cable phone and internet for a small price. But after that year it will go up...
best thing is to call your service provider and ask for a deal on internet only.
DSL is cheap and reliable if your not a major downloader and just browse the net.
