Internet Explorer, Skype, and MSN Messenger do not work, but Firefox and AIM work?

I'm running Windows Vista. I recently tried using Skype and MSN Messenger but neither would work. I then noticed that IE (which I never use) also does not work. It just says that it failed to connect, even when I try 192.168.1.1

I have always used Firefox and AIM, and they work fine. Other computers using the connection from my router are able to use all these programs.

How can I get these programs to work on my computer?

have the same problem, only skype is working for me.. IE and MSN is not workin, de side bar is also working for the gadged I already selected before, adding new one or changing others is not possible...
