I am about to get a laptop how can i get wireless internet on it?
When I buy the laptop should it connect to the Internet without buying additional stuff. I have heard of a router but do not know what it is and if I do have to buy it will it cost a monthly fee or do you just buy it and you will have access thanks.
If you already have broadband, like cable, then yes, all you need is a router to go with it. no monthly fees for a router. The wireless N is the fastest out there and I prefer Linksys. your laptop will work great with it.
A router is if you have a current Internet connection but you can get an laptop with a built in wireless card and see if you neighbors have an unencrypted wireless connection. On the otherside you can get an wireless card from your wireless company that you can use anywhere in your country.
