how do you solve this problem : the Internet Explorer won't start?

My Internet Explorer says "Internet Explorer has stopped working" every time I open it, and then it said a problem caused it stopped working and can't find the reason. I believe it's virus because my computer does have viruses. Then how do you solve this problem without buying any ANTI-VIRUS stuff?
I would already gone online and download ANTI-VIRUS stuff if I could, it's because I can't use the Internet Explorer so I can't download those!! I'm using my sister's computer now.

Well my computer is Vista so I can't find anything such as Windows Component

Okay, first off, don't panic. Second off, never, ever buy an anti-virus. Most of the ones that are purchased are crap, the others have free home versions and paid business versions. those are the ones you want.

Now, first things first, if your on a Windows XP computer, you can try to reinstall IE first. To do that, you go into the control panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows components, unchecked IE, next, finish, reboot. Then repeat, but check it instead of uncheck.

If that doesn't work, you can load some anti-virus software onto a flash drive and bring it to your computer. Some good free ones are...

    www.malwarebytes.org
    free.avg.com
    www.superantispyware.com
    www.avast.com

You can also find all of those on www.download.com

go to malwarebytes.org and download their free version. It takes like 15 minutes, scans your comp, deletes all viruses, adware, and malware.
