usually its, tools, internet options, deleat history, then select cookies and history. if you want a softwere then maby history swatter will work. i use it and there are no viruses, it is sponsered by google and does checkups.

in xp ..you will have to go to tools..then internet options...there might be a slight revision..... I tried installing vista...it turned into a mess..... Just pray that i acquire an upgrade which will then enable me to study vista... I did try one of those "supposed cleaners"........yes it gave me space....but deleting the said cleaners seemed strange......my used space ballooned after uninstalling it......... Well do study your operating system...unfamiliarity with your operating system can cause you enormous troubles.....Try to get an anti-spyware/ malware instead...the free Yahoo anti-spy labels most temporary files as "spyware" or "malware" enabling you to ...at least delete some... Try to familiarize yourself with your operating system...unfamiliarity with such can cause enormous troubles...try to work off-line and study all of vista's features and sub-features... If Vista has "Help and Support"...do type "remove+temporary internet files" in help and support's search engine......This Microsoft's Update Website gives results about your concern...do click on it....

I use a program called ccleaner to take care of everything.
http://www.ccleaner.com/
It cleans up EVERYTHING and is much easier than navigating through menus to do so.
