How do I prevent peopel from stealing my wireless internet.?

I know people can steal my connection with a wireless network adapter, but how do I prevent it? I have DSL.

You can put a password on your network adapter from it's settings if you don't know how to get to the settings then ask someone specialized to do it for u or.....tell me which windows version you are using and what type is your dsl adapter so i could help you now
