i agree. firefox is a great internet browser.
i use it all the time now, and it's soo much faster.

and you might have a virus.
so run a virus scan.
that's probably why your internet doesn't work.

I would also check your computer for malware. Download http://www.lavasoft.com adaware SE, update it and run a full system scan.

Are you on Broadband or dial up? Has this just started happening or been doing it since you got the internet or a a new version of windows? Maybe you havent got enough RAM??? There could be a number of reasons. Can you give us more info? or get in touch with your ISP and ask them.

try..re-install your browser, dont uninstall it just download it again
