Brand new computer, but with internet issues please help?
I just bought a new Dell XPS 1530, it not even a week old and I am having trouble getting online.
Recently, I downloaded AVG software and realized that I already had AVG installed on the computer. I cancelled the download and it restarted my computer (restarting was an option when i chose cancel) Well the computer restarted and everything is finewith one major exception, I cannot get online.
The computer recognizes the wireless router but it keeps saying input passkey (it usually does this repetatively). I do this and nothing happens, Ive clicked on troubleshoot and still nothing. Ive even plugged in the ethernet cord to the router but stil it wont get online. My roomate can get online with no problems whatsoever. He hasnt had this problem at all.
Has anyone heard of this and can make any sugestions. The next thing Im going to do is to try to get online at a wireless hotspot and see if it will connect ther. If it wont connect then I may have to go back to a reset point.
Yes, Ive reset the router. But once again If my roomate can get online even when I cant. Whats the point of resetting the router?
