Thread: how do you create a password for a tp-link wireless router so that not

anyone can just access your internet? please put in layman's term.. i'm not really good with computers ^^ thank you... xD

put this address in the address bar of your explorer
192.168.1.1
after doing this go to Wireless
youll see a checkbox (enable wireless security)
check it.
just enable key type 1
and put a 10 character password.
and save.

hi, i have the same problem. I have checked the Enable Key 1 box but am being asked key type and key format - not sure what to check here. thanks in advance

Hi!
Please help me to set up a password for my wireless network as people around my house misuse my wireless network .I am using TPlink TL-WR740N and i have done everything to put the password i have reset the router but it does not work .I enabled WPA-PSK,WPA2-PSK but when i connect to my network it does not ask for password.
