Thread: 2Wire 2701HG-G Gateway Modem, Internet/Wireless LED lights unlit,

"network cable unplugged" message on screen? I have a 2Wire 2701HG-G Gateway Modem

On the modem, out of the 5 status lights (power, ethernet, wireless, DSL, internet), internet and wireless are unlit. The only two steadily lit are power and DSL.

Internet light flashes ever 15-ish seconds.

Computer says that the network cable is unplugged, even though the modem is (from what I think) correctly assembled. All the cables are in.

Is my ISP just not giving internet, or is it some other common issue?

On these the Power, DSL, and Internet should all be green solid if there is a connection.
The Ethernet will only be lit if there is a wired computer connected and the wireless will only light if there is a wireless connection. Both of those will blink with data.

Log on with a wired machine. Open a browser and go to
http://gateway.2wire.net check the status, sounds like your internet connection may be intermittent.

You may want to unplug it and wait 30 seconds then reboot and see if it all comes back, if it has been working that is.
