Where is the missing £1?
3 Students go into a tv shop for a new tv and find one for £30. They each give the shop assistant £10 each and walk out with the tv. When the manager appears, he tells the assistant the tv was on sale at £25. The assistant realises that he can't split the £5 change 3 ways so decides that what he will do is to give the students £1 each back and keep £2 himself.
Therefore:
3 Students spent £30
3 x £9 = £27
1 x £2 = £2 (the money the shop assistant kept)
£27+£2 = £29
Where is the other £1 gone??
