Today my girlfriend came round and we got into a little play fight that ended up with me pinning her down taking her shoes off and tickling her feet. And as expected she bursted out in hysterics. But, now I've been thinking "What makes people laugh when they're tickled?" Why do we do it and show a certain disliking to it when other animals e.g. dogs love having their bellies tickled? Is it a natural or cultural thing? Do other people around the world not laugh when they're tickled?
Furthermore, in the case of people who are not ticklish, are they biological dissimilar? Or are they not really bothered?
On another note why is it that girls feet are much more ticklish with tights on? That's something I've come to notice lately.
This may sound weird but It's just something I've been pondering on.
