but yeah, shyness has nothing to do with it.. I used to go clubbing all the time even when I was shy.. I go there to have a good time (oh, I can't dance either, lol)

but if this is a date.. the club scene doesn't seem like a good date for a shy person who's never been drunk before...
liquid confidence, drink some alcohol and FYI guys DO NOT care how a girl dances as long as she is there with him, he will be happy. Have fun you will probably really enjoy yourself
these chicks are right, we dont care how you dance as long as you do... NOT all guys take advantage of girls when their drunk so dont worry about that part of it...
im shy too but ive been clubbing before...just try it out and see if u like it..and as far as being drunk, be careful or he might take advantage of u..maybe a drink will loosen u up..it worked for me.
just do it... ull really enjoy it.. act crazy... instead of being embarassed about the way u CANT dance.. make fun of the way u cant dance and dance all crazy guys love how different their girls are from other girls.. it makes u stand out in a good way
what u should do is practice dancing with a brother or make friend or female. do not get drunk he would not see you the same but as a drunk chick who can not dance. when and if u dance with him, prentend that its just you and him. dont think about steps just let it flow. maybe have 1 or 2 drinks nothing hard liquor. but u should def go, have fun the only way to get over being shy is just do!
You should definitely go if you are shy...I found that it cured my shyness! You may feel a little intimidated or a bit of an 'odd-bod' at first because other people will be confident. But, once you start enjoying the music, it will feel as if you are dancing in the privacy of your home. No-body will really notice whether you are shaking your booty like a wildchild or a windmill on fire because they will be enjoying themselves too much!
Also, you don't have to be drunk to 'let go' on the dance floor. I usually stick to water! You do get drunk on the atmosphere instead.
