Should the French laugh at their own jokes?
A newly married young French man on his morning commuter train noticed that his fellow male passengers were all sniffing at little boxes. "Zey contain ze public hair of our beloved whom we must leave to go to work" explained one commuter. Next day, the newlywed too, opened his open little box. "May I?" asked the fellow commuter and sniffed the newlywed's box content. "Mmn-but a little too near the a ss."
