Honestly it depends on how you feel about each other, if you still have feelings for him or vice versa, it could cause emotional pain. I was with a guy for 4 years then when we broke up I tried the whole kissing, friends with benefits thing...I still loved him and wanted to be with him but he didnt want the same so all it did was cause me pain.
