A little help with a riddle?
I was given a riddle to do as homework in my Algebra II/ Trig. class, and it's really got me stumped.
It goes:
"Three cannibals and three tourists were traveling together when they came to a river. They were happy to find a boat, but not so happy to discover that the boat could hold only two people at a time. The tourists were uncomfortable at the thought of separating, but they realized that so long as there were never more cannibals than tourists on either side of the river, they would be safe. It was certain, however, that if the cannibals ever outnumbered the tourists, there would be trouble. Devise a plan to get the party safely across the river. The boat can never cross the river empty - somebody has to paddle!"
Any body want to take a crack at it. :x
