laugh if you want, but I'm just now buying my first iPod?

(I'm in my 50s and just now joining the digital world). How do you load the songs in there? Do iPods "mistrack" like CD players do when you hit a bump? Once a song is loaded into them can you take them out? Is the sound rich? What's the difference between an iPod and an iPod Nano? thanks.

I'm laughing because you are getting an Ipod, not because you are just now getting one. they suck.

Yes, you can add and remove songs at any time.

The only thing you really need to know is how many GBs(gigabytes) you want. The music will sound rich no matter what mp3 player.

May I recommend researching any other mp3 player, it will easily be half the price.

Well, it comes with this USB cord. You need iTunes and either buy songs from there for $1 each or download from http//frostwire.com (It's a program). You put the music onto your iTunes (also a program) and in iTunes, there is a list on the left. Look down, and you should see "iPod" or something, and several tabs under it. Drag music into the MUSIC tab. (It's easier to understand if you have the programs!!
I'm not sure what "mistrack" means, but sometimes your iPod will freeze if you click on a song. If that happens, replace it because it won't "fix."
Yes, you can. You click the MUSIC tab and your songs come up in a list. Click on the song and press DELETE (on your keyboard).
Depending on the sound. Look at the birate when downloading/buying. The higher the birate, the clearer the sound.
iPod is a vague term. There's the iPod Shuffle, Nano, Classic, Touch, Video, etc. So...Shuffle, there is no screen and least memory. Nano has a small screen and next least memory. Classic is big (I have one) and has a lot of memory. Touch is a touch screen with lots of memory. Video...idk why it's called video.

Thats good that your buying an ipod my mum got hers like 3 years ago.
1) When you insert the ipod you click on your songs and drag them into the playlist on your ipod. If you dont have any songs either buy them at Itunes store or download them.
2) Ipods dont mistrack lol
3) Yes you can delete the songs
4) The sound is good and loud as you want
Hope this helps

well first you have to buy itunes cards they sell them at walgreens. or you may use limewire go to limewire.com and download it and then you dont have to pay anything for music. but if you use limewire your in risk of ruining your ipod because of viruses. no it doesnt mess up if you hit a bump. i ipod nano is a smaller ipod but it still has a screen its basically the same as the other ipods. just go on itunes.com and it will tell you everything.

To load songs onto and ipod, you need to have itunes. You can make and edit play lists there, and when you plug in your ipod itunes should pop up. If you choose the tab at the top that says music, it will show you the list of playlists you have and you can check or uncheck the boxes to choose what to put on your ipod. Then click the "sync" button at the bottom of the page and it should say that your ipod is loading the songs. You can take out or put in songs by plugging your ipod in and changing the playlists you have on there or the songs in the playlists. The sound quality isn't bad because much of today's music is made to be heard out of ipod headphones, but i wouldn't call it rich like records' sounds are. There are many types of ipods: the classic, the nano, the video, The shuffle, the touch. They are all just different shapes and sizes and have some different features. To see more about the different ipods and other ipod related topics you can go to the apple website: http://www.apple.com/itunes/
hope this helped!

Use the itunes library. Whenever you want to put some music into the library, click file > add file to library, then find the location of the music file that you want to add to the library.

Unless of course you download from the itune music store. That should automatically add your purchased music to your list.

The third option for adding music is you pop in a cd and a little bar to the left of the itunes library will pop up and you can click that Music cd and drag tracks/songs into your library.

You never have to worry about bumps in the road when listening to the ipod. It's an mp3 player so its all digital. That why I love them! And the sound is as rich as you want it to be. If you get the newest ipod there should be a button EQ in the setting folder that lets you equalize the music as you want.

You can actually synchronize your itunes library to your ipod if you want. or you can add music by dragging it into the ipod bar that pops up to the right of your library. If you choose the option to load music manually, you can pull music off your ipod, but if you opt for the auto synchronize then you'll have to delete the song off the library.

Ipod nanos are smaller. There's as much difference between the ipod and the ipod nano as a camry from a cooper. Its really just your preference.

Hope that was helpful.

You need to get itunes, a place where you can upload and download your songs to. No, ipods dont skip when you hit a bump. After you have loaded your songs you can pick and choose what you want to appear on your ipod by simply clicking and checking or unchecking certain songs. And the ipod Nano is just slim and smaller, depends on what your looking for something simple-- go with an ipod classic, something intense--ipod touch (I have one its great but more for the internet on the go users)
