and there is another room with three lamps. The only way to get to the other room is to go down a winding hall in between them.You could only go into the room of the lamps once. How would you figure out which light switch went to each of the three lamps?

Not a trick question.

Turn on one switch for a few minutes. Turn it off and turn on another switch. Go to the room. The light that is on is controlled by the switch that you left on. Feel the other 2 bulbs. The one that is warm is the one controlled by the first switch. The last switch controls the one that is not on and is cool.

leave one switch on for a looong time.
leave one switch on for a few seconds.
dont turn on the other one.

the bulb for each lamp will determine.
long time = burning hot

few seconds = warm

not on = cold
