When my cat is lounging around she'll either start to bathe or roll around trying to get my attention. In this process she'll stretch into the "banana stretch" as I call it. While she stretches into the shape of a banana, she'll do this meow that says "Mahh" it sounds like a sheep saying baaa... but it's 'maaa'

Do your cats do these silly things also?

Oh yes. My kitty does that. He was doing something bad one day and I went to give him a quick smack on the leg to get him to stop and he started purring. I looked at him crazy and sort of smacked him again, this time on his back on the spot where his tail meets his body. He put his butt in the air and purred harder. My kitty likes a good patting/beating it seems!

My cat makes a sound I can't even describe. It sounds a little like a bird chirping, and a little like she's trying to get some hair out of her mouth.

LOL! I love when they stretch like that! Banana Stretch - great word for it!

My Exotic Shorthair will do these little grunts "uh uh uh uh" and the Ragamuffin does this long meow for the whole stretch "Meoooooooooooooooooow!" Every once in awhile they'll be too busy being cute to realize that once they roll over to the other side they end up right off the bed or futon LOL
