They decide to share a hotel room to save money.
At check-in they are charged $30 total so each man puts in $10. They go up to the room.
The hotel manager realizes he overcharged them and that the room was only $25. He gives the bellhop $5 to give back to the men. The bellhop decides he will keep $2 and give each man $1 back.
So now each man has paid $9.
$9 X 3 (men) =$27, plus the $2 the bellhop kept = $29.
