I have a 1996 pontiac Grand Am GT 2 door. Can I wire up an amp and sub to the

stock stereo? It does not have the RCA Jacks in the back, all it has is the standard GM connections for the speakers, and an optional plug for an additional changer, so I need help. I would like to just get an aftermarket stereo, but if I don't need to, why spend the money?

Absolutely! You will need to buy a device called a Line Output Converter (LOC). They are around $20 or so. This will wire into the factory wiring behind the radio and create the RCA jacks that you lack with a factory radio. After this device is in place you wire the amp up as you would any other system. It's pretty straight forward.
