I have a 1995 volvo 850 sedan and most of my speakers are blown so i am going to replace them. i just bought 6x9 sony xplodes which are relatively cheap but have good reviews. best buy is installing them next week. i have four 5 inch speakers that are terrible in my car they cant handle loud volume at all and have no bass. i was looking at these http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8698643&type=product&id=11994944 65777 which are pioneers. there is a 25 watt rms? is that bad? do i need an amp? help please.

you can compare the speakers you want to buy to the ones that you blew. If you want them to be louder than you want more rms wattage. But if you have more rms, your headunit might not be able to power them sufficiently. You will probably need to do some research on your headunit or ask someone at bestbuy to see how powerful it is. Then you can decide if you need an amp or not.
