Thread: Car audio installation help?

Ok so tuesday im buying new speakers for my car (mk4 gti) because my driver side door speaker blew so its provided me with enough excuse to justify a cheap upgrade for now, so future shop (canadian company owned by best buy) is having a promo where you get a pair of kenwood KFC-1694PS 's for so that's what im getting but i dont know anything about car audio so is it just plug n play or do i need to buy something else?

I don't know what kind of connections the mk4 has but you will more than likely need some female quick connects. Just snip the factory connections off, strip the ends of the wires and crimp on a connector that fits the terminals on you speakers. Keep in mind which is your positive and negative and hook them up accordingly
