I consider someone an alcoholic when drinking becomes their main priority. They want to drink to make normal functions more fun or interesting. They also drink alone, or with others even if the other people aren't drinking. When someone has outrageous or dangerous behavior when they're drunk, then I consider them an alcoholic.
