situation is not so critical? I injured my wrist and my doctor suggested to have it x-rayed even though he thinks it is unlikely that it is broken. I am not an x-ray fan, but I reluctantly gave in and went for the x-ray. The technician x-rayed my wrist in 3 different positions. Then, after a few minutes he informs me that I need to have them redone since there was NO film in the machine! They apologized, but I wasn't pleased about it, and refused to have them redone. Unfortunately now I don't know the status of my wrist. Do you think I should go ahead with the new set of x-rays (i.e. is the exposure minimal?) or should I forego the x-ray in the interest of my long term health? Is it worth getting an x-ray when it is not likely that anything is broken?
