why does my son have lines down his teeth?

My 26 month old son has a line down two of his teeth. they are the 3rd teeth away from the middle on the bottom on either side.
It is weird as they are identical on both sides of his mouth. He doesnt appear to be in any pain and he is good at brushing. He by no means eats lots of sugary snacks or juices. The lines are slightly bluey black and run from top to bottom in the middle.

has anyone got any ideas what this could be?

My 5 year old has this also but on her front tooth. I brought her to the dentist and she told me that it was two teeth stuck together and thats just the way it formed in her gums! I noticed afterward that one tooth is much bigger than the other one. I never noticed it before! Hope this helps!
