Why do my hands itch after a shower?

It's confusing to me because if it was an allergic reaction to the soap or shampoo or even the water wouldn't i be itching all over instead of just my hands?

    I have the same problem.
As a matter of fact I just got out of the shower and my hands itch like crazy, well its like a hot stinging sensation. I thought I was going CRAZY because I asked my parents about it and they though I was making it up so I tried putting some baby powder in 2 socks and putting my ands in them. Nothing, still burning. The only thing that makes them feel better is if I took a hot shower, to soak my hands in freezing water, but after I take them out, there it is again. I found a chat room about it (i dont know the website sorry) and there were some really interesting info in it im sure if you look around youll find it. Next time I go to the doctor i will bring it up.
