I am a college age female, and I have been a big-time athlete my entire life. I was a varsity-level gymnast, swimmer, cross country runner, and soccer player for years. While now I am only keeping up with soccer, I still run 5 miles almost every day, and at around an 8 minute mile pace.
I really don't eat a lot. I even cut out most desserts.
But SOMEHOW, I still have this weirdly distended stomach. If I flex, I have a pretty defined 6-pack. But if I relax, it sticks out, and if I try to stick it out, I absolutely look pregnant.
Seriously, I do not understand. I do tons of crunches and other exercises. I'm only about 5'1, which I suppose means my weight is more concentrated, but my round belly makes me look much heavier than my 110 pounds.

I have a very arched back, but I don't think that should make my stomach look this big.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about or have a similar situation? Or, even better, know of a way to get rid of it?
