When am i safe to have a drink?

I have had problems with my liver for a few years now, but last week i was told that my liver had stopped repairing itself temporarily due to its damage. My doc told me to stop drinking for a while and see how things go. So ive had 5 days off completely. I went back to my docs yestarday and he said there's no change it hasn't got worse but it hasn't got better, but on my forms he wrote, "No cause for concern". Do you think i'd be ok to have a beer today?

i think that if you have serious liver problems, that you should not have a drink ever. but if its a need i would wait even longer. this is because it hasnt gotten better, or worse, so you're in the same condition as before. drinking will not help. settle for a soda.. good luckk

I wouldn't have a drink until I had the all clear properly. There may be no cause for concern at the moment as things haven't got any worse. But I would be really careful, you only have one liver and you don't want to do irreversible damage to it.

Not advisable. Your liver needs much more time to recover.

You might find that you will need to stop drinking forever.
