I was in my dorm room, and I was moving my room mate's chest (he hasn't been in in three months.) I know I shouldn't have done it, but I looked inside of it to see what it was. There was nothing in the mahogany chest, but for some reason, when I opened the chest, it felt like 10,000 brain cells had been killed, and I found myself in a state of panic.

I know I shouldn't have opened the chest, but what happened to me? There wasn't anything but the mahogany chest. What happened? Could any paint be that strong? And the paint was dry, too. The chest was at least a year old.
