Thread: What can I do to stop my period from soaking through my clothes?

I've never had a period this heavy! I woke up this morning and blood soaked through my underwear, my pants, AND my sheets. And today through my pants. I've had my period for a little over a year now, today is my second day of the current cycle. I can't think of any reason to why my flow is so heavy! I always thought that lighter people (I'm about 100 lbs) have a lighter period. My mom doesn't want me to go on birth control and I'm afraid of tampons...What can I do?

You could where thick pads, and put two on? Theres nothing to be afraid of. After you put a tampon in you forget its even there. I have to where a pad and a tampon because mine is soooo... heavy. Hope this will help. :-)
