My husband is having a very hard time losing weight. We are out of ideas as to what to do. He works outs 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. He is on a 1500 calorie a day diet that is strictly monitored for fat and carb intake. On top of all of this he also takes Orlistat (more commonly known as the over the counter drug Ali).

He has been stuck basically losing 1 to 2 lbs a month right now. It doesn't seems that anything is working.

He has been tested for everything under the sun that we can think of (diabetes, thyroid probs, tumors,...). His doctor has told us that it might just be that his metabolism sucks and he doesn't need more then 1000 calories a day to function so the rest gets stored. Unfortunately, less then 1000 calorie a day diet for a 6'4 man is just not doable.

Any Ideas?
