Thread: very heavy period?

i've had my period for more than a year now and it usually is about a mdedium-heavy flow. it started yesterday morning (also a week early) and its SO HEAVY. like beyond normal heavy. last night i went to bed at 11:30 and woke up at 4:30 (so it was only 5 hours) and it had already soaked all the way through my OVERNIGHT pad and through my pants and sheets all the way to my mattress! so i took my sheets off and got another overnight pad and woke up 3 hours later because i was wet and i already needed another one. then i just put a super-absorbancy tampon in about an hour and a half ago and i already need to change it. should i be worried? also if it matters my last period was unusually short for me - about 2 and a half days. usually its about 4 or 5 days. should i be worried? please help!

If your young, which i assume you are, periods for young girls can be irregular. The first day is usually heavy. I don't think there's anything to be concerned about you just got a REALLY heavy period. Good luck! --Becca ☺
