So, I'm 19, and have had back pain since I was 6. I've had x-rays, bone scans, cat scans, MRIs, and even went through phsyical therapy, to no avail.

The past two months, the pain generalized in my lower back, on the sides of my spine (as opposed to everywhere), and I keep getting shooting pains down my leg. It used to only be like once or twice a day, but now it's like, 20 times a day, and the "shooting" pains take a loooong time to.. shoot... like, up to 20 mins before the pain subsides. It's mostly in my left side, and the other day, I started to walk to the bathroom, and my left leg gave out, and I fell.

Don't know if it's related but I also have a nasty habbit of blacking out when I crack my back (which they told me was vertigo)

Does anyone know what this might be and if it's serious? I don't have health insurance and would like to avoid Dr.s as much as possible. Any suggestions (legal ) for pain management? (Over the counter NSAIDS don't touch me)
NSAIDs are things like Tylenol and Ibueprofen, just in case. Thanks :]
