So a few years ago I had a really large cyst on my ovary and had to get it removed. The doctor told me that he removed half of my ovary and it should be fully functional, etc...
skip to a few years later and I had to get an ultrasound to check out another cyst on my other ovary and the ultrasound technician said "you had your right ovary completely removed right?" and I told him it was only half, and he said, "nope. I can't find it. its not there"he looked and everything and it wasn't!!

I don't necessarily care if I have only one ovary, but it would have been nice to know. Is it possible they lied to me (seems kind of harsh and pointless to lie about that though)? But if I only had one ovary left wouldn't I only get my periods every other month? I get them every month. Or does the other ovary just start producing every month once the other ones removed?
