I think someone I know is addicted to meth. There have been a lot of signs but only recently I heard it from some more reliable sources. He refused a drug test and acts very unpredictable. He is extremely angry and defensive when confronted about it. Is here any hope at all or just misery? I am getting sick of worrying and hoping. Please no smart a$$ answers, is there anything left to do? He had moved far away from the old crowd and now has moved back to the old side of town and with the same old people he said he wanted to stay away from in the past few years. I never could get any concrete evidence, but the money problems, mood swings, paranoia (accusations), lies (sometimes about minor stupid stuff that does not even matter), and verbal abuse has been ongoing for 6 years on and off. It seems like he'll do good for a while, then fall back into the same old rut. I wish there were something more to be done ,but I doubt there. I knew there was a problem, but not this big.
