    Are sunburns permanent?

I worked an outdoors job over the summer and the back of my neck is now a darkened brownish color. Will it go away? Or am I stuck with it?

This is actually a logical question. Your skin can change many different shades from the sun. The sun damages skin and most of the time if will go away but it is possible your skin can change and stay that way. Sun damages skin. Hope you were wearing sunscreen. UVA are burning rays the sun puts out and UVB are the bronzing rays. In The tanning beds the percent of the UVA and B levels are controlled but in the sun they are not at without proper UV protection your skin can be damaged.

It will be brown for some time..but it will definitely go away. It fades after time.
