Thread: Stitches -- after you get them taken out?

I had an open fracture on my toe and in order to get it back to normal they had to stitch it up. I got my stitches out a week ago, but it looks extremely abnormal. There's skin coming out, white stuff around where the fracture was and I saw a brown thing hanging out. Should I be worried?

Ew when i got stitches in my finger and chin i didn't have skin coming out or white stuff or a brown thing hanging i think you should be worried.

That brown thing is probably the scab. Check with your doctor. My finger looked weird and gross, too, but now it looks normal.

Try using triple antibiotic to prevent any infection, if in a week or so you still having the same go to doctor, probably your cut needs a deeper and stronger treatment.
