I'm male and am looking to build leg mass and so will be exploring squats, lunges, dead lifts, legs curls, and hamstring curls.

Can you describe for me the proper form for doing squats and lunges. I've performed a few but am not seeing enough gains. When squatting my feet are positioned a few inches wider than my waist, knees pointing perhaps 15 degrees off from dead ahead. While keeping face forward i squat at the waist trying to keep my back straight (it actually feels like im arching it back like a C shape rather than keeping it straight like a \ backslash). I squat until my thighs are parallel with the floor then begin rising back up (no delays) until my legs are fully straight. Repeat. Bad form for squatting?

As for lunges i take a big step forward only so that my knees "dont appear" to be positioned beyond my feet -- doing it this way allows my knees to appear directly over my feet. I can really feel my butt being worked out as apposied to my thighs and hams.
